The BC Forest Safety Council ("The Council" or "we") knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. What information do we gather and how is it used?
The Council collects information from our users at several different points on this web site: Users to the public areas of the Council’s web site browse anonymously. However, the Council web server does collect aggregate data, such as number of access attempts by page. The Council may collect information ("Personal Information") from you before allowing access to certain resources and personalization features on the site, or to order products and services. Generally, when Personal Information is collected, it is used by the Council to improve web content; to respond to visitors' interests, needs and preferences; and to develop new products and services. The Council does not share Personal Information with any third parties except that the Council may share such information with its subsidiaries and affiliated organizations. Third party vendors providing services in connection with this web site may have access to Personal Information. It is the Council’s policy to require such vendors to hold Personal Information in strict confidence.
Cookies

Log Files
Like most standard web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Opting Out and Correcting Personal Information
If a users personally identifiable information changes (such as zip code, phone, email or postal address), or if a user no longer desires our service, email our Customer Support at info@bcforestsafe.org or click the "Contact Us" link on this web site in order to inform the Council of the changes.
Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Statement, the homepage, and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
If, however, we are going to use users’ Personal Information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their Personal Information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their Personal Information be used in this new manner. Return Policy
• Requests for returns or refunds must be made in writing
• Returns and refunds are allowed for damaged or defective products
• Returns for products in saleable condition with original packaging can be made for in-store credit only.
• No returns or refunds after 45 days.
