SHARP Safety Conference - September 24-25, 2009

Great event, no cost

A great safety conference is happening in Prince George September 24-25, and it’s free of charge for SAFE Certified companies of the BC Forest Safety Council.

It has been suggested that up to 80% of injury and fatality industrial incidents are a direct result of a person who is preoccupied and thinking about something else in their work or personal lives.

Recognizing the stress so many people face in their daily lives, it is important to understand how these “human factors” can lead to disastrous results, and how to manage them in ourselves and others..

The Human Factors of Safety conference, organized by the USW-Forest Industry Safety and Health Research Program (SHARP), in partnership with the Council, will give you information and insights on this important subject.

Attendance is eligible to count toward WorkSafeBC hours for joint occupational health and safety committees. Registration deadline is September 11.

For details, you can view the brochure here.

When you register, be sure to provide your SAFE Certification number in order to qualify for free registration.
